This post marks the beginning of an informative series about rare Miscrits, written by one of the most helpful, and probably most recognized, comment posters on this blog. I hope you enjoy it, and look forward to seeing the next part of the series soon.
First of all, there are some things about rare Miscrits you need to know. Here are 4 important things about them:
1.Your first thought would probably be: “Whoa. A RARE Miscrit! It is definitely powerful, I’m SOOOO getting it for my team!” Basically, that is the wrong mindset, which brings me to:
2. You need to roughly know which kind of Miscrit you need, and know what skills they learn as well. You can find many skill lists on this blog. Also, you can visit the forums at www.miscrits.com. There are definitely kind souls over there that will help you. Of course, rather than post a new thread, I’d suggest you use the search box. To summarize: A rare Miscrit is not necessarily something you need. Which brings me to:
3. You need find out important details about capturing the rare Miscrits. Fortunately, there is a great resource you can use to find out locations. Griffon at the miscrits.com forums has made a really AWESOME guide about it: Rare Miscrits Guide. You now should know where they are, and when they will be there. Now all that’s left is for you to know what type of Miscrit you need, but I’ll cover that more in the following posts. But first:
4. Rare Miscrits are not necessary for a good team. Rare Miscrits can help you, but they aren't always the best. A perfect example is Digsy. It is not rare, but has a very great skill list and some nice stats. You can read more about Digsy on Chris's blog by clicking on Miscrit Reviews at the top of the page, or by click this link: Digsy Review. Remember, you need to be dedicated to the game to find rares, but this is a mere game so it should NOT be affecting your life. Thus, please remember rares are NOT necessary.

There are three more posts coming in this series, one for each of the current zones in the game: the Miscrian Forest, Mount Gemma, and Sunfall Shores. There's a lot of great information in them about each of the rares, and I think they're going to be very helpful for a lot of current and future players. Look for the Miscrian Forest rare guide soon!
Great post Leggy Guy! You are so right that rares are not necessarily the best or the game-changers. They are no more or less important than any other miscrit in your possession; each miscrit serves an important purpose, even the ones that suck (yeah, I'm looking at you Cubsprout). Look at Breezycheeks, for instance. It's considered the worst wind miscrit, and yet its Dizzying Winds move can be decently effective in the 10-15ish BA range (I haven't used Breezycheeks myself, but we'll just ignore that tidbit). Even the strongest Blazebit can be taken down with a solid strategy. Success depends primarily on well-planned tactics and a balanced team that displays few, if any, weak spots.
ReplyDeleteTo add to your bit about searching for the rares, all I can say is this: PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE!! They are rare for a reason!
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go find Blazebit :D
Yes Tom! It's all PATIENCE, PERSEVERANCE and TIME! hahaha..to all miscrit players out there, let's hunt and earn TPs! Yahoo!! (I'm really happy I just won a Snorkels in BA)
ReplyDelete@ Tom: Yeah, it's all about patience. I've taken down teams with Blazebits with mere Grubbeans! Hahaha. I also love my Digsy which lucked out and got max defenses. Oh boy, you wouldn't believe how many battles I won just by using him only :D
ReplyDelete@ Pax.PH: Yeah, your virtues as well. Congrats for your Snorkels :)
@Pax- I'm about to win my Snorkels soon too :) I'm 23-0 for this week so far, so it's right around the corner.
ReplyDelete@Leggy- I remember taking out Ignios and Blazebit in one match with mainly an Elefauna :P (Lvl 13 match, used Negate Element of course). I'm hoping I get as lucky as you were on your Digsy with the random rolls... my Mun Kee went from awesome to meh pretty quick and I'm hoping the BB I got yesterday is ok. At level 10 (Expert Trained), it has HP:33 EA:27 ED: 21 PA: 27 PD: 27 Speed: 27... looks decent to me, but not great. What do you guys think? (Sorry for hijacking your thread here)
@ Tom: Digsy has no random stats, I got lucky with the +3s and +4s for Max :D That seems like decently balanced blazebit. The EA, and especially the ED, would not be what one would usually hope for. But hey, on the bright side! At least I'm not the only one whose blazebits get bad ED :)
ReplyDeleteShould I keep leveling it or should I find a new one?
ReplyDeleteIt's your choice, Blazebit, Ignios etc. are to be levelled if you are willing to take the risk of random stats. :)
ReplyDeleteI got it up to level 13. Current stats: HP:42 EA:32 ED: 28 PA: 35 PD: 34 Speed: 32. Still balanced... My Snorkels (Level 10), on the other hand: HP:34 EA:27 ED: 28 PA: 18 PD: 34 Speed: 26. That's some solid PD right there :D
ReplyDeleteWOW! I just got 2000 Facebook Credits for Free! And it worked too! No personal info required! 100% WORKING and totally free. Check it out, i got mine from http://2000forfree.blogspot.com :)
DeleteUpdate on my Snorkels: At level 13- HP:44 EA:32 ED: 34 PA: 22 PD: 43 Speed: 31. UNREAL PD!
ReplyDeletebtw sorry for posting this here, I just trust the ratings that you guys give :D I'll go back to attempting to be helpful from now on :P
@ Tom: Whoa, that's some serious over-max PD! Nice. About Blazebit: Yeah, still looks quite balanced. The health is good though, so is EA and PD. Speed is fine, PA is nice.... Yea, so it's still your ED. Here's my level 18 Blazebit (expert trained): HP: 57 (strong) EA: 50 (max :D) ED: 36 (high, moderate- D:) PA: 46 (high, strong :D) PD: 42 (strong :D) Speed: 41 (Strong :D) To be honest I really liked how this one turned out. Here's my previous blazebit who is now a pathetic Grimstone: (level 18 before- non expert trained) HP: 56 (strong) EA: 46 (strong) ED: 37 (moderate- high D:) PA: 32 (moderate >.<) PD: 46 (low, Max) Speed: 31 (moderate D:) So this guy got killed by Hydroseals with ease. My new Blazebit has strong speed, so Hydroseals don't bother me. And if they really outrun my blazebit they get 1 turn at most, and here comes my Dark Chrysaleaf... Dark STING! LOL.
ReplyDelete@Leggy: by new BB, are you saying you have three or do you mean your lvl 18? Your level 18 one sorta seems like a Fire-version of DFP, but with better PD. In that mid-teens level range, it seems like it's ok for a BB to have an ok-ish ED stat because Bombard is so strong (kinda overpowered, to be honest). Mine does well, but I want to find a new one at some point.
ReplyDeleteI just compared my Snorkels PD to my Drilldent's. At the same level, my Snorkels has 7 points more PD! It dominated a Hotfoot earlier... a Kanga Clobber only did 5 damage hahaha loving it.
@ Tom: Yes. I have 2 Blazebit- 1 who is now a Grimstone (who had pathetic stats) and my new one with powerful offense, stronger health and faster speed. But still here is my problem with my ED: Whenever Hydroseals attack they always take away at least 1/3 of my hp. and then the next attack 1/2 of my hp is gone. And this is whenever i fail to outrun Cubsprout with my BB.
ReplyDeleteYour Snorkels is definitely powerful if Kanga Clobber dealt only 5 damage. If you keep getting his stats like the way it is till level 30 all Dark Flues shall die. :)
